A mini action & puzzle game for Global Game Jam 2023 with the theme: Roots.
Accomplishment
• Close collaboration (literally) with 1 designer and 1 artist from Global Game Jam 2023.
• A finished product delivered on time and on budget! (2 days with $18 spent, $6 on Monster energy drinks and the rest on my favorite instant ramen.)
• A puzzle with tricky traps & enemies placement, and secret paths to win the game.
• 2-direction platformer movement, a double jump and "spiderman" swing mechanism.
• Game economy design where certain objectives must be achieved in order to acquire higher states and ultimately win the game.
• A state machine to monitor states of the game (tutorials, gameplay, restart, checkpoints, etc.)
